The utter arrogance of this administration is getting worse, the worse their public image becomes. Let's hope they keep this up, because with luck they'll end up embittering the American public so completely that the whole neo-conservative movement will die a well-deserved death, and this country will go back to some form of sanity again.

I adored this and it was spot on. It troubles me though that there are not more like Olbermann. There should be but where are they?

That's what I've been asking myself for the past five years. Why in the HELL the media allowed themselves to be railroaded into becoming lapdogs, I sure as hell don't know. Yeah, yeah, 9/11. But I'm sorry, that does not excuse the disgustingly syncophancy that came in its wake. Times of crisis are when we need a tough, critical media MORE, not less. It's far too easy for a ruling group to use that kind of event to its advantage, "let's all pull together" be damned. The way they said nary a peep while Bush & Co. hijacked the whole country was disgusting, and I have no sympathy whatsoever for their cowardly coat-tail riding. Feh.
