Considering the direction things have taken on LJ for me, I'm actually thinking about abandoning this LJ entirely. It seems the only posts that get lots of traffic are my fic posts, and while I love getting the feedback, that's not the only reason I'm here. Maybe I've worn out my welcome, who knows. It's not like it would be the first time that had happened. It's not that big a deal for me, but I'm a little tired of posting things I think are really cool, only to get very little or no response at all. Starts to seem a waste of time, you know?

So I may end up closing this LJ to everything except fic posts (and those will probably be few on the ground), and taking up another LJ that won't have the baggage associated with it that this one does. Plus fandom isn't really my thing anymore, so there's that too.

Any thoughts?

I'm here because I like you. Even though I don't comment much anymore, when I have time to read Live Journal, I am always interested in what you have to say, regardless of the subject. There are times when I can only read late at night when I'm exhausted and so brain-dead that my responses would be insultingly numb.

I would be sad to see you disappear. I would also be sad if you decided to drop me, so I hope that you won't. I don't think you've worn out your welcome, but I can speak only for myself. If you do start another journal, I would be delighted and honored if you'd friend me there. Whatever your choices about your journal, I wish you joy and every good thing (even though that may sound mushy). I shall be thinking of you, and hoping very much that we shall meet again.
