And I just looked up some more info about this, and could not believe that the Baiji dolphin had been around for 20 million years. And humans have pretty much decimated it since the 1950's. People suck.

It's quite amazing. To quote a certain pointy-eared Vulcan, "As a matter of history, it has always been easier to destroy than to create."

We've certainly proved the masters of that art, as far as the planet goes.
