Just in time for Easter:
Another episode of Anne Rice: Queen of Everything
This one for the Washington Post, no less. Herein she regales us with the true miracle of the Resurrection - it gave her a reason to keep writing. Yep, she's humble, alright.
Oh, Anne. Don't ever change. EVER. *bats eyes*

But let me speak my peace not critically so much as with an exhortation.
So, is that a deliberate misspelling?
I tried to read the excerpt from her new book and got bored after a few paragraphs. It must be wonderful to be so absolutely sure that you're 100% right.

And to my mind, she hasn't been readable for the last twenty years. Last thing she wrote that I actually liked was Tale of the Body Thief. Purple, unedited and full of yourself is not a combination that bodes well for a writer.

Date: Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 11:42 pm (UTC)HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SERAI!!
I have been thinking of you quite often since your wonderful Solstice card arrived in my letterbox. Serai, thank you so much for it. It made me very happy to hear from you. And this makes me feel even worse for not responding to you earlier. YOU WILL get a letter in the mail soon. A Spring letter, I promise! I have been working mostly straight through since January 1st on several exciting, exhilirating and even fun work projects (http://vaysh11.livejournal.com/4731.html#cutid1) which neverless took up all my days (and nights).
I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
So it was in 1998 that Anne Rice turned ... always interesting :-).
Love,
Calanthe
