She's already caught and tortured one cockroach this morning, and is working on another. You should see her throwing and catching, and batting it around.

I think cats pursuing invisible insects accounts for some of the "cats see invisible aliens" behavior. I finally realized cat #2 (see icon) was after tiny spiders when he charged around like an adorable maniac. At least you know what Casey is after.

My sister, who lives in a rural setting and has four cats, claims hers pursue and bring down mice, gophers, and rabbits. (I've only seen evidence of the mice.) She says she's waiting for them to learn cooperative skills and bring in a deer.

I thought she was playing with a piece of plastic or something this morning, when she was jumping around like a maniac. I've seen her do this before with mice, so I should have realized she was actually killing something. (I found the first victim half-dead in the bathroom, its disgusting feelers waving feebly. I dumped it in the toilet with glee. Time to evolve, fucker!)

*nods* If we were living somewhere where there was bigger game, I'd fully expect to see rabbitlings and such on my doorstep. She REALLY loves to kill. Good kitty!
