Wow, I must be REALLY bored today/tonight.
-Who sleeps in bed next to you?
Casey. When she's in the mood.
-What did you last eat?
Strawberries, Bathmale cheese and a slice of apple spice bread. (My first attempt at bread!)
-What kind of books do you read?
These days, mostly non-fiction: religion, mythology, biographies, science. Occasionally some James Morrow or Harlan Ellison, when I feel like fiction.
-If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
In a cozy cabin in the redwoods or by the shore, in Santa Cruz.
-What's really creepy?
Besides the word "creepy", which makes me want to pull people's teeth out? Ummm. Scientologists. Neo-Nazis. People who oppose single-payer healthcare. Libertarians. Hypocrites.
-What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Star Trek, although that's calming down a little since it'll be a while before the next film.
-What did you really want to do today that you didn't?
Nothing. Got everything done that I was shooting for.
-What are you most excited for?
In general, getting my health back. Right now, the Star Trek DVD is coming out tomorrow.
-What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LJ, and Crooks & Liars. I was hitting I Can Has Cheezburger, but I just added the feed to my f-list, so I don't need to check that site now. Ditto Wil Wheaton's blog. And I pick up the new TDS and TCR on days after they've aired.
-What was the last thing you bought?
Lemonade, Odwalla Mango Tango juice, and some Sweet&Hot Onion-Pepper relish.
-If you could have any pet, what would it be?
I miss my little dog Rudy, whom I had to have put down some twenty-five years ago. I also miss my speckled king snake Rio, who mysteriously disappeared from her box many years ago. As far as new pets, I'd love to have another snake, and I'd also love to have an exotic cat, a Savannah or a serval. But they're so damn expensive!
-Your past life: tell me about it.
Haven't a clue. I don't believe in specific reincarnation, wherein we come back as the same soul in another body kind of like showing up in a new hat. For me, reincarnation involves our souls decomposing the same way our bodies do, breaking down into component elements to be added back into the great cosmic soup, from which new souls will be poured out. In short, we become compost. A gardener's view of reincarnation.
-What do you want right this minute: tell me about it.
I want my back to stop hurting.
-Where is the place you like to return to to calm down/ relax/ etc.?
I'd go back to Santa Cruz if I had money and transportation. As it is, my little house is my refuge.
-How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll Centre of a Tootsie Roll pop?
Haven't had one since I was a kid, so I don't remember.
-What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?

-Are there any bits of childhood that you miss?
Not a thing. I'm a person who has become happier the older I get. Did not enjoy my childhood or youth AT ALL. Every decade that ends finds me sighing with relief.
