There's been a spate of rather excellent essaying around here lately. Of course, there's
teasel's usually thoughtful and intriguing work, and
rabidsamfan got in on it, and like that. All of which got me thinking...
Back when I was posting on TORn, before I got all disgusted with that place, I wrote a number of long posts that I suppose qualify as essays. On a number of LOTR-related topics. Would any of you be interested in reading them? I could post them here for your perusal andsnickering commentary.
They're all stashed in this bigass file on my hard drive, and keep making meeping lonely noises because nobody will ever read them again. It'screeping me out making me sad whenever I see the file name.
So, anyone interested?

Date: Monday, July 19th, 2004 09:35 pm (UTC)Have been vaguely thinking of more posts about FotR, now that I've
pigged out on itbeen reviewing the Extended DVD, something about visions and slow-mo ... but the *whole thing* is a vision. This is that movies are about. Have so far failed to refine the topic.no subject
Date: Monday, July 19th, 2004 09:42 pm (UTC)Gave up on TORn's boards a long time ago - although there's someone new (I think) - Larner, who's been posting some interesting things. I took a quick peek the other day and actually read for a while!
