I recently upgraded to Word 2007, in which version Microsoft OF COURSE decided to dick with every single function, hiding all kinds of things and generally making the program extremely annoying for those of us who aren't interested in a game of Hide and Seek every time we want to use it...grrr.

Anyway, my question is this: what happened to the "Select all" function? It used to be in the "Edit" pull-down menu, which of course doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone know where the HELL they put it? I really don't want to have to drag my cursor through a hundred-page file every time I want to make a universal change here.

HELP!

You could type CTRL + A for select all. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select all is under the icon to the far right. It says: FIND REPLACE SELECT EDITING. Click the pulldown menu next to SELECT for select all.

I'm trying to get used to it too. I heavily customized my word 2003 toolbars, and it's really tough to not have all my tweaks. you can add little buttons to those two they give you at the very top, and then move those buttons to under the ribbons. I've done that for some of my functions that I miss, but it's frustrating to use. Who on earth decided this was a good idea?
