Update on the Rakshi project

Thanks to the generosity and fast action of many of Rakshi's friends, I can now send the vendor of the Sam and Bill the Pony statue fully HALF the bid price as a down payment! I am just flattened and awed at the generosity of all these lovely folks!

Anyone new to this filter, please go back one post and see what this is about. Once again, I must emphasize that this is a REALLY SEKRIT PROJECT. So please be sure to have a care and not let our dear Rak know that anything is up, OK?

I've started a Yahoo group for this endeavor, to make the mass mailings easier for me and to keep us all in touch. You can join the group here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Bill_and_Sams_Excellent_Adventure/

I have the memberships set to moderated, which means I will approve all memberships. This is ONLY because I don't want just anyone wandering in - we want to keep the lid on this! I'm NOT trying to exclude any of Rakshi's friends! If you know someone who would like in on the project, please have them email me, and we can go from there.

So we still have half way to go (though I'm not counting the payments that are coming through snailmail - there are several of those). Please get the word out if you can.

I'm looking for contact info for these people: hallucinateme, sierralois, bodygardner and frodosuz. These folks were suggested to me by some of you, but they have no contact info on their user info pages. If anyone has this info, please email it to me, or make contact with them and ask them to email me.

Once again, you are all totally great! Those of you who have signed up, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And the rest of you, please consider making a donation. It doesn't have to be $20. It can be less or more, whatever you like. Every penny will help and be more than appreciated!!

Thanks, hon! It's completely my pleasure - you have no idea what a charge I'm getting out of this. I only wish I could be there to see Rak's face when she opens her gift!!
