Oh my fucking god. IT'S HAILING!!
It's been raining since yesterday here in L.A., but about a half hour ago we started getting some great lightning, and now it's bloody raining ICE!! This is not very common here, so when it happens, it's very cool. (For those who have a place to live of course - those without, I worry about 'em).
I remember my mom telling me about how when she was a kid in Argentina, she and her sister always used to run and leave buckets outside when it hailed, so they'd have ice in the house.
Whee, nature!
And while I'm at it...
I got your package today honey! When I opened it and saw your lovely gift, I got all sappy and teary-eyed. Thank you so much! Flipping through it, I was just blown away by the pretteh... It's definitely getting a place of honor on my wall this year. *hugs*
And on that note, I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU and LOTS OF LOVE to all of you yet again. This holiday season would have been...I don't know. A lot harder without all your great posts and conversations and squeeing, etc. It's been lonely around here this year for me, what with my folks being away and me not having any work, but you (and my darling Casey) have made it less so. I'm really looking forward to meeting many of you at ORC. Thanks for being such a great bunch of folks!
And thanks to those of you who sent holiday cards! It's always so nice to open a card and feel that someone took a moment to send it. *sigh*
Spike's coming over tonight and we're gonna watch Shaun of the Dead (missed that one in the theater, darn it!). But first, I'm gonna warm up some Spicy Cider and sigh over lovely Elijah, and listen to the storm.
*HUGS TO ALL*
