Damn. That was a great gig. Held at a really sleek, beautiful club in Santa Monica, it was a wrap party for some film or other. Everyone was very friendly and upbeat, the cards were clear and very responsive, the readings flowed easily. Jason plied me with little plates of the most luscious food to keep my energy up, and he made sure I got breaks. Although the music was very loud, I did not end up having to yell, so my throat survived, and the DJ had a great mix going, sprinkling in lots of songs that kept throwing me back to my heyday - Earth, Wind and Fire, the Ohio Players (oh, the memories of anticipating those albums, and how the hot naked babe would be pictured next), AC/DC, the Sugarhill Gang (my brother got the original 12-inch single when it first came out) - oh, tons of stuff. So the music kept me jazzed and happy. I did readings for couples, the first time I've done that, and it worked well.
There was one couple that I remember especially, Billy and Norma, because not only were they very happy and had a strong, well-favored reading, they were two of the most drop-dead gorgeous people I'd ever seen. Seriously, they looked like one of those couples you see in upscale ads for Gucci or Versace - dark-haired, big-eyed, high cheekbones, perfect hair. I would have happily dragged both of them into a back room somewhere and had my way with them. They were also incredibly sweet and very pleased with their reading.
Everything went smoothly, and the time just flew by. There were no dead readings, and only once or twice did I get a little stuck. All in all, the best tarot gig I've done yet. It certainly dissipated any lingering negativity I had going, and my energy is at a great level today. Yay!
*hugs to all*

Hope to see you on YIM again sometime soon!
