A very nice birthday

It was a nice day, indeed. Started out with my parents waking me up to sing me Happy Birthday over the phone. My boss at the temp job I'm at bought me yummy pastries. Had dinner at my folks', and got a bottle of Sherry from Jerez from my dad, and some cash to buy DVDs from my mom. Got a call from my bro and my newphews Tommy (who made me a lovely hand-drawn card) and Adam (who still has not decided to talk yet - give him time). My sister called from Spain and left a very sweet message on my machine, with kisses from her fiancee (who I'm convinced is a hobbit in disguise) and her new baby.
And now am going to hang out with Spike and smoke cigarettes and trade witticisms, like we do. Oh, so droll are we. She says we'll eat yummy food too. Yay!
All in all, pretty nice.
