When I went to DuckDuckGo to find the right pic of Elijah for my Thanksgiving post yesterday, I came across this:





and stopped dead in my tracks. I've never seen this pic before. Isn't it lovely?

*sigh*


In other news: I joined the fic challenge comm fffc, by way of invite from naemi. I figured what the hell, maybe I'll get inspired, knock some of this block loose. Yeah, I'm blocked. Not that I don't have ideas, but they're sort of jostling around in my head without actually amounting to anything. I keep writing a paragraph that's promising, but then it fizzles out. But I'm keeping them all in a folder and am picking at them. Casey is much less talkative than Zeke, damn it. I think that's why I only wrote a couple of drabbles years ago, because I thought my version of C/Z would center around Casey when it really centers around Zeke.

Joining the comm might help that. I already wrote a 3-sentence tinyfic for it, which I'll repost here later. I'm hoping to write more. Yay!

All the yay =) And I hear you about being blocked. I've been blocked all year, maybe longer—total prompt and inspiration overload. But yeah … it'll pass. Right? Right??

It's SO frustrating. I had that amazing flood of writing the last couple of months, when the Muse decided to start wearing Zeke like a particularly sexy pair of jeans. But as soon as I turned to Casey and said, "Okay, what's your deal?" - SLAM. The door shut. I think maybe he's feeling guilty as well as reticent.

*sigh* My poor boys, they're just so fucked up over each other, they can't even. *sigh*

I didn't, actually. I've never seen it before. So that's why he looks different from the way I'm used to seeing Frodo!

The comm is proving to be fun, at least the tinyfic posts are. Getting around the block is much easier when I only have to squeeze out three sentences at a time. Perhaps moving little pebbles will eventually cause the boulder to roll away. :)

Although he's always gorgeous I have historic issues with the wig length in this Hobbit pic. Not his fault and it was so adorable to see him don the ears again.

You know, I'm thinking the problem might be that they relied on the sizing for the last wigs they made for him, seeing as how he's not grown any, really. But the problem is his face has changed. He really doesn't look the same as he did in LOTR, the youthful "baby fat" is completely gone, so it looks different on him now. I don't have a problem with it, but it's odd, because he's changed but what he's got on hasn't.

Oh well, like you said, it's a stunning picture.
