I am seriously considering friends-locking my LJ.

For one thing, I don't often get comments from people I don't know, and most LJ people wouldn't be shy about asking to be added if I did lock and leave a gateway post. And since I've got myself a spiffy new website, there's no reason to leave this spot open for the public anymore. Anything I write that I deem presentable, I'll probably post here, and if the consensus seems to be that it's readable and won't burn anyone's eyes out, then it'll get put up on the site and folks can read it there.

But mostly, I'm considering locking down because having an open LJ has just stirred up trouble for me recently. I've got certain unwanted people watching my journal. (Yes, I know you're there. Hello! I'd just like you to know that you are not at all welcome.) For another, I've been getting trouble off-LJ, fallout from just anybody being able to read my stuff. Trouble I don't enjoy or desire, thankyouveryfuckingmuch.

PS. I'm still trying to make up my mind about posting The Wind, that ME ficlet I put up last week, on my website. What do you all think? Does it deserve a larger audience, or am I just jerking off?
