Fama di loro il mondo esser non lassa; misericordia e giustizia li sdegna: Non ragioniam di lor, ma guarda e passa. (Dante Alighieri,Divina Commedia, Inferno, Canto III, 49-51)
The world does not permit report of them. Mercy and justice hold them in contempt. Let us not speak of them --look and pass by. (Dante Alighieri, The Divine Commedy, The Inferno, Canto III, line 49-51)
The funny thing is, I wasn't even talking about that person in my original post. She came running over, waving her arms, and then got indignant when I took up with her. I'm looking back on it now and wondering why that happened in the first place.
There was a woman, a few seasons ago on The Amazing Race, who would call other contestants criminals at the drop of a hat. Their 'crimes'? Competing and not helping her team. She apparently misunderstood the whole "race" concept.
and, the connection - there are people who will see the most absurd things in anything they view as wrong or different. it says more about them than the accused.
Mirna of Mirna & Charla - she called everyone criminals. Granted, Colin & Cristie weren't the sweetest humans ever, but she called them that after she tried to steal their cab, even ;)
Seriously, anyone with a Buckaroo Banzai quote and a totally devistating delicious C/Z manip in their user pics should be nominated for sainthood, not called a criminal!
