I don't think I've entered and exited a fandom as quickly as that, like, ever. The combination of "the last thing he did that I liked was half a decade ago" with "don't say a goddamn thing that can be construed to be the tiniest bit critical" just chapped my ass. Not interested in the school-marming, thanks loads, Miss Crabtree.

Especially when you're pretending it's okay to be all randy and naughty. It kinda comes off looking like you're laying a trap, and...no. Just NO.

You do realize, don't you, that commenters have ALWAYS had the ability to repost their comments elsewhere? All they have to do is COPY-PASTE.

Just like everywhere else on the web, with anything else on the web.

All LJ has done is add a button that makes it a one-click deal. But it's not anything that's been impossible before.

So all this mass exodus is kind of an over-reaction, don't you think? I mean, considering that if anyone wanted to cross-post their comments here, they've probably already been doing it.


Me, I don't have no truck with stupid crap like Facebook and Twitter, and I no longer post anything that's in the least identifiable here, so I really don't give much of a shit about my stuff being re-posted. But I just thought I'd point this out.

One of the great things about a new fandom is getting to watch the Initiatory Kerfuffle, and I think we may off and running with Brandon Routh, the heretofore unknown star of Superman Returns, who it appears may have pitched a hissy fit over, of all things, his makeup at a premiere. *sporfle*

Some giggle, some scoff, some call fake, some snicker about the new Supe's manliness. Some dig dirt, and thus my favorite part is his blog entry from a couple of years ago, wherein he bitched about being fired from a soap opera. Hey, I'd probably be pissed too; soaps are steady work. But oh dear, that rantlet is rather a jewel of sour grapes Dignified Hurt and thinly veiled I hope they all get cooties!!
