Well, you know, there's Gray and there's Gray

.
Here's a rather stupid and filthy idea, but I thought those of you who've been squeeing here might find it amusing...

On hearing a random quip Jon Oliver made last night, it occurred to me to wonder how Josh would handle the role of Christian Gray.

Yeah, I told you it was stupid. But it's also filthy. This makes it worth my time.

So okay, maybe not THAT guy. Or maybe that guy in, you know, a good movie. The root of the matter is the idea of casting This Fucking Artwork in the role of a snaky, sexy, hot-blooded, cold-hearted, astronomically-talented, masterful Evil Bastard.

DISCUSS!

Oh well, alright - go take ten minutes. But THEN DISCUSS!

And if this becomes a plot bunny, you're required to post a link here when you're done.

That pretty much describes his character in 'O'. But more sex is definitely needed. I couldn't see him as utterly cold hearted though. There's a vulnerability in him that slips through too often. I guess it doesn't help that I'm definitely not a 50 Shades fan.

If he ever played such a character with ample sex scenes I would watch the fuck out of it. He plays such a great bad guy. He just doesn't do it enough.

ROFL! Josh shall henceforth be known as TFA (This Fucking Artwork) *bows down*

I was just about to say "O" or "Slevin". He would be an amazing master evil genius in a superhero movie. There was a rumour he was up to play Loki in Avengers.

As for a sleaze-sex role, I could see him doing it. Maybe more arthouse than Shades, though I haven't seen it. He can do anything. Have you seen his psycho-kid turn in "Member"? Amazing.

I have no doubt he could do it, but I love him when he plays a tough guy with vulnerability that shows through, like Zeke or Ethan. The Black Dahlia was a sucky movie, but Josh was wonderful in it.
